Meet the Nurse Behind RN Education Hub
I created this space to support student nurses, new graduates, and early-career RNs with real-world insight, encouragement, and tools that truly make a difference.
👋 About Me
Hi, I’m Kendy — a board-certified Registered Nurse, licensed nurse educator, and the heart behind RN Education Hub.
I created this space because I know how overwhelming the journey into nursing can feel — whether you’re navigating clinicals, studying for the NCLEX, or preparing for your first job. I’ve been there myself, and I wanted to build the kind of support system I wish I’d had when I was starting out.
🧑⚕️ My Background
I hold a Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP), a Master of Science in Nursing, and a Bachelor’s in Microbiology & Immunology. I’m also California Board of Nursing–approved to teach:
- ✅ Adult and Pediatrics Nursing
- ✅ Medical-Surgical Nursing
- ✅ Critical Care Nursing
- ✅ Geriatrics
- ✅ Licensed practical nursing
Currently, I work as a clinical transplant nurse coordinator at a nationally ranked children’s hospital in Palo Alto, California, and I teach BSN clinical and theory courses as an assistant professor. My clinical experience includes medical-surgical, critical care, cardiac surgery, general anesthesia and cardiac anesthesia and solid organ transplant coordination, with hands-on expertise in ECMO, LVAD, CentriMag, Impella, and UNOS/OPTN transplant policy.
🎯 Why I Started RN Education Hub
Nursing is as rewarding as it is intense — but no one should have to figure it out alone. I launched RN Education Hub to create a safe space for personalized, judgment-free support, where nurses can ask questions, build skills, and grow into confident clinicians.
Whether you’re a student nurse trying to understand pathophysiology or a new grad preparing for an interview, my goal is to help you feel seen, capable, and supported.
📚 Tutoring Expertise
- ✅ Nursing: Pharmacology, pathophysiology, APA papers, care plans, NCLEX prep
- ✅ Pre-nursing: Anatomy, physiology, microbiology, chemistry
- ✅ Math: Algebra, pre-calculus, trigonometry
📚 My Teaching Style
I’m a visual and concept-based teacher. My students describe me as someone who breaks things down using:
- ✅ Custom mnemonics
- ✅ Worksheets & step-by-step tools
- ✅ Real-world clinical examples
🤝 Ready to Work Together?
If you’re looking for a partner in your nursing journey — someone to guide, explain, and encourage you along the way — I’d love to help.
